TIDWIT Cookies Policy

TIDWIT (“us”, “we”, or “our”) uses cookies on the TIDWIT Network (the “Service”), including but not limited to the www.tidwit.com site and all the platform instances and sub-instances that may be setup as sub-domains through ontidwit.com with or without any URL vanity features. By using the Service, the user consents to the use of cookies.

Our Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, how we use cookies, how third-parties, we may partner with, may use cookies on the Service, and your choices as a user regarding cookies and further information about cookies.

I. What are cookies?
Cookies are small pieces of text sent to your web browser by a website you visit. A cookie file is stored in your web browser and allows the Service or a third-party to recognize you and make your next visit easier and the Service more useful and relevant to you.

II. How TIDWIT uses cookies
When a user accesses and utilizes the TIDWIT network, we may place a number of cookies files in their web browser. A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.

We use cookies for the following purposes: to enable certain functions of the Service, to provide analytics, to store user preferences, to enable dynamic content delivery, including behavioral relevancy. We use both session and persistent cookies on the Service and we use different types of cookies to run the Service. Here is a listing of the Cookies we use:

Single-Session (also known as Session ID) cookies: Session ID cookies are temporary, meaning once a user closes the browser, the cookie simply terminates. By setting this type of cookie on our site, users would not have to log in a password more than once, for example when moving between site pages, thereby saving the user time while on our site. If users opt to reject or delete this cookie, they may still use our site, but it could render the site inefficient for their use.

Essential cookies: We may use essential cookies to authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts. Cookies likely to be deemed essential are those used for the shopping basket and checkout procedures, those that provide security for e-commerce services and those that help ensure that your page loads quickly by distributing the workload. This cookie cannot be turned off, if the relevant function is being used as it would jeopardize the network and the user’s security.

Multi-session (Persistent cookies): Multi-session cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our users to enhance the experience on our network. Cookies may be tied to a user’s personal identity information, location, and site activity; however, we only share a user’s specific profile and PII with the specific instances that they registered for. We only share user profiles in statistically aggregated and unidentifiable forms to any other third party. This cookie can be deleted

III. Third-party cookies
In addition to our own cookies, and while less common, we may also use various third-parties’ cookies to report usage statistics of the Service, deliver targeted content on and through the Service, and so on. An example of such cookies includes Google Analytics cookies that gather aggregated site data. Generally, these cookies do NOT collect any personally identifiable information.

IV. How do I detect TIDWIT’s cookies?
If you want to find out exactly what cookies TIDWIT’s Network or sites serve, there are a number of cookie audit tools that allow you to do this. Firefox has an extension called View Cookies, but there are other tools including the Attacat Chrome extension, Trust-e’s cookie tracker and Tagcert. It’s worth clearing your browser cookies before you do this. Remember that not all cookies are bad cookies—some of them as mentioned above may be “Essential” (see above)

V. What are your choices regarding cookies?
TIDWIT allows you to either ACCEPT or REJECT Cookies. Please note, however, that if you REJECT cookies or ACCEPT and then delete them, you might NOT be able to use all of the features the TIDWIT Network offers, you may not be able to store your preferences, and some of our pages might not display properly.

VI. How do I turn-off or delete cookies that I have already accepted?
All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings; and it is possible to delete TIDWIT network or site cookies from your browser. You can usually find these settings in the “Settings” or “Advanced Settings” or ‘’Preferences’’ menu of your browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, or you can use the ‘Help’ option in your browser for more details.
